Chelan County houses the largest and most picturesque lakes in Washington, Lake Chelan, located in the beautiful resort town of Chelan. Chelan County is one of the most productive apple-growing regions in Washington. At the county seat lies Wenatchee, the center for outdoor recreation located along Highway 97, which connects Wenatchee with Chelan to the North and with Leavenworth to the West.
