The cold, hard brutal facts about methamphetamines:

• Approximately 10% of people who use alcohol become addicted. But over 90% of those who sue methamphetamine become addicted.
  
  
• Standard drug treatment programs take 120 days. However, once a person quits using meth, it can take 12 to 18 months for his or her brain chemistry to return to normal.
  
  
• Clandestine meth labs are relatively easy to build, yet they produce toxic waste and can potentially cause fires or explosions.
  
  
• By teaching people to be aware of, and to report, drug and criminal activities, we can help to stop meth production.

Technology @ Work

Many are already aware of our new, recently implemented carrier-grade e-mail server. This new server will soon include Spam Filtering (see below) as well as other useful services to help manage your e-mail account.

The process was executed seamlessly. Our staff completely re-built our authentication servers and re-indexed our accounting database to tie directly to our information systems. Though not surprised, I was still amazed in the transparency of these modifications. Without our prior notice, most would have never seen the transition at all.

The results of hours of planning and engineering excellence; our networks staff has done it again! The efficiencies of our current technologies allowed a seamless transition of our mail services to our all new premier mail server. Genext's level of service continues to remain un-matched by any other local Internet Service Provider! Congratulations Scott Daniels, Lorn Conner and Genext Networks Staff!

While the true impact of laws, requirements and taxation is not yet in focus, it is evident that there will be significant impact in our costs of doing business.

Genext At The Heart of Our Community

Recently Genext attended the KPQ Home & Garden Show at the Wenatchee Convention Center. Many of you may have seen our 50” Plasma Flat Screen Display with Full Theatre Surround and Interactive Internet Demonstrations.

There was much to see at the show and many customers switched to our services, however my favorite part was the opportunity to meet and visit with many of customers face-to-face.

Thanks to Wenatchee Audio Video for their use of home audio/video technologies as well as partnering together on the booth display. Genext and Wenatchee Audio Video staffed the booths the entire weekend and answered many questions about Fiber Broadband, Smart Wiring other Home Technologies.

Chelan PUD Fiber Expo

Last Tuesday Genext staff as well as other service providers together with Chelan PUD hosted an all new Fiber Expo. The Expo included booths from local vendors as well as an indepth view on the Community Fiber Networks.

Jon Smith and the Chelan Networks staff delivered a well prepared and informative presentation about their all new mapping system that helps to determine when fiber will be available in your neighborhood, as well as financial, technical and philanthropic missions of the program.
