BACK TO SCHOOL

Well, it's the end of summer and that means back to school or, for many kids, starting school for the first time. While it's often a welcomed time of year for many parents, other parents are somewhat reluctant at the thought of their kids going off to school, especially if it is their first time.

GENEXT WELCOMES MICHAEL PETERSON

As new home construction continues, Genext is keeping up with demand for our Home Technology and Security Services. We're now pleased to welcome Mr. Michael Peterson to our Systems Technical Team.

Michael has experience with aspects of premise wiring systems, computer diagnostics, broadband communications and networking. He will be studying to become a Journeyman Electrician through our Apprenticeship program; a two-year on-the-job course where he will master wiring and raceway construction, grounding methods, electronic circuits as well as National and State Electrical Code.

We're fortunate to have Mr. Peterson on staff. He is a dedicated young man with tremendous energy and an excellent work ethic. Please join us in welcoming Michael to our team!

GENEXT HELPS TO FIGHT BIRTH DEFECTS

In Washington State, 1 of 10 babies is born prematurely. Nationally, more than 480,000 babies are born too soon, some so small they fit in the palm of a hand. Prematurity is a leading cause of newborn death and is also a major cause of illness and disability among infants.

Genext is collecting money for this years Jail & Bail Benefit; we aren't waiting to collect money from the slammer! What we ask of you is to pledge money on behalf of Genext for the March of Dimes and help support the health of babies. A contribution of $5 would be generous, though we would encourage contributions of $20 or more. All donations are tax deductible. Every dollar collected by Genext will help save babies in the Wenatchee Area and support community-based education and service programs, advocacy and research.

SWIM LAKE CHELAN -- Baracuda Swimming

The Barracuda Swim Team is a group of young swimmers from North Central Washington. On September 11th the Cuda team will compete in the annual Lake Chelan Swim. Roughly 80 swimmers will embark on the 3-mile journey across the lake. Genext is sponsoring the event as in years past by donating T-shirts to the swimmers proudly displaying the message, “I Swam Lake Chelan”.

Supporting and encouraging youth community groups is a large aspect of the Genext mission. We would like to wish the young swimmers good luck in their upcoming swim!
