::: Grand Opening This Winter

Finally, the move into our new offices is complete. The relocation of our Local Area Network (LAN) was flawless. Though we did separate portions of our network to make the initial network upgrades, customer services remained unaffected and our Data Centers and Customer Service Systems were relocated and back up in record time.

In addition to our new offices, we've upgraded our phone system. This upgrade will accommodate additional staff and will help us continue to provide the same quality service that you've come to expect from Genext.

Though our current focus is on operations and customer service, we are hoping for a Grand Opening sometime early winter. We will, of course, make sure that invitations are out with plenty of time to spare.

::: Is Your Computer Secure?

Wow, what a crazy time it's been on the Internet the past few weeks. Many of our customers experienced firsthand the impact that computer viruses can have. Don't be the next victim…read all about Viruses and how to protect your computer in our Support Section.

Genext strongly recommends that you have a current version of Virus Software running on your computer. If you are already running a Virus Software, make sure that it is set to perform regularly scheduled updates. Keep in mind, too, that virus software may not be the only update you need; consult your Operating System (Windows®, MacOS, Linux, etc.) documentation for software update and patch information.

While Genext does not endorse or support any particular virus software, we do offer information about viruses, software and other useful resources in our Support Section.

Please be sure to consult your Computers Owners Manual and Software Support Documentation. If you have questions about your Computer or Software, contact the company you purchased it from or the software manufacturer on how to upgrade or perform updates.

Genext's Systems Group has many new products to be unveiled in the months to come. You may have noticed our trucks on the road and our yard signs and window decals showing up across town. We've been busy expanding warehouses, technical staff and business systems to keep up with the growing demand.

Just as we catch our breath after a busy summer, Genext staff will be attending this year's Seattle Home Show the first week of October. Be sure to stop by the Home Automation booth located just to the right of the Main Entry. We will be showcasing our Home Automation Controllers as well as offering discounts and coupons on our services.

We will be staffing the booth with representatives from HAI (Home Automation, Inc.) as well as other leading system integrators.

The time has come for the final phase of our network relocation. In the days to come we will be relocating two portions of our Internet Network. The moves will take place on September 23rd and September 25th.

During this last phase, Internet Access & E-Mail Services will be interrupted for up to 2 to 3 hours. We will be sending the NETWORK NEWS announcement to Genext Customers with additional details and new features available from our newly enhanced Internet Network.
