GENEXT WELCOMES DAN WICKERSHAM

Late last summer, Genext's System Group expanded once again, bringing advanced network construction and fiber optic talent to the group. While Dan has been working with Genext staff for some time now, he just recently accepted our offer to come on full-time.

Mr. Wickersham has years of experience installing high-performance network infrastructure including Fiber Optics, CAT3, CAT5e and CAT6. He has also completed numerous integrated projects and advanced audio/video systems.

With business relationships that stretch from the Pacific to the Atlantic, Dan brings a wealth of knowledge and talent to bear on Genext endeavors.

GENEXT… THE FIBER LEADER

Genext lands another Fiber Termination & Riser Cabling Job at the Community Technology Center.

In an effort to maintain schedule deadlines and complete the Chelan PUD Tennant Improvement at the Community Technology Center, Genext was awarded the contract to install 96-strand fiber optic cable and 200-pair copper cable throughout the lower level and 2nd floor of the building.

Genext has allocated three additional system technicians to the project, as well as specialized equipment including Fusion Splicing Machines and Optical Time Domain Reflectometers.

Not only are Genext technicians splicing glass with precision accuracy, the project also calls for complete system testing, documentation and certification from the manufacturer.

STOP TELEMARKETERS

If you're like me, when you get home your phone rings constantly with people peddling their wares. It used to frustrate me and cause me not to answer my phone. After reading the article below, my wife and I now actually enjoy answering telemarketing calls.

Earlier this month a staff member e-mailed me this article on “How To Stop Telemarketers”. While we did not write the article, I found it very interesting, and have actually put to use the suggestions in the article.

HOW TO GET RID OF SPAM

DO NOT Click on the Unsubscribe link on HTML Based e-mail, it only serves to confirm that they have a valid e-mail address.

DO NOT Put your e-mail address on the Internet (without some protection of course). If you do, be prepared to answer questions (as we do) from all over the world. Be prepared to receive “Hello” messages (which you should IGNORE).

DO NOT OPEN ATTACHMENTS from e-mail without a virus scanner. If necessary, change your e-mail program to one that supports virus scanning. Certain browsers are more supseptable to viruses and malicious code, for an alternate browser try Netscape (www.netscape.com/) or Mozilla (www.mozilla.com).

DO NOT load the images on the HTML Files unless you know the Sender. Preloading the images leaves a trail from you to the Spammers, and only encourages them to send more spam because they get paid on the number of Wewb Hits that they generate.

REPORT OFFENDERS to the abuse@domain.com address for the provider of the Service. You can us the whois service (www.netsol.com) to find out who registered the domain.
